With perfect weather and a newly renovated course, the FSGA women were able to take advantage of the perfect conditions this week at the 57th Harder Hall Women's Invitational. The invitational took place January 4-7, 2012 at Harder Hall Country Club in Sebring. Meghan Stasi, of Oakland Park, finished highest in the group with a 76-72-78-71--297 that placed her in 8th. Tovie St. Louis also qualified for the HHWI Championship Flight by shooting 79-79-85-79--322. Both represented Florida in the US Women's State Team Championship this past summer.
Our recent Women's Senior Player-of-the-Year, Mary Jane Hiestand, also had a strong showing. Hiestand, of Naples, shot 80-81-86-79--326 to finish 15th in Flight 1. Other notables in the Invitational include Hally Leadbetter, Cindy Feng, Taffy Brower and Jan DeMarco, who is currently serving on the FSGA Board.
