The Florida State Parent-Child Championship Regular division will once again return to Walt Disney World's Bonnet Creek Courses. Osprey Ridge, a Tom Fazio design, has been named one of the “Top 10 Resort Courses in America” by Golf Magazine. Eagle Pines is an imaginative creation of Pete Dye. The Junior division will test the Oak Trails Course. The Parent-Child Championship is open to everyone. There is no maximum age limitation for parent or child. (A 40 year old is eligible to compete with his father.)

ELIGIBILITY

At least one entrant of each team must be a member of FSGA or FWSGA. There is no maximum age limitation for parent or child.

ENTRY FEE

$290 for Regular Division ($280 for online entry) and $150 for Junior Division ($140 for online entry), which includes cart fee for tournament rounds, team picture, and awards. (Only two-person teams are permitted)

CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT

Regular division will play 36 holes of modified alternate shot; Juniors play 9 holes of modified alternate shot using Stableford scoring each day. Teams will be grouped by combined handicap for day one groupings.

DIVISIONS

Regular Division - the field will be divided between the two Bonnet Creek courses based upon combined handicaps of the teams. After 18 holes, the field will be flighted (within course divisions).

There will not be any gender-based divisions, but four sets of tees will be utilized: Regular men, Regular women, jr./sr. men and jr./sr. women (Seniors age 55 and older will move up to play the same tee as the 13-14 year old juniors.)

COURSES

Regular Division will play on Disney’s Bonnet Creek courses - “Eagle Pines” and “Osprey Ridge." The Junior Division will play the “Oak Trail” executive course.

CARTS

Players are responsible for practice round cart fees.

DEFENDING CHAMPIONS

Andy and Rick Spears claimed the Regular division with a 63-69--132. Shaun and Mark Peterson won the 10-11 age division with 53 points and Andrew and Brendon McCarthy finished with 49 points to win the 6-9 age division.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Arrangements have been made at the Hampton Inn Maingate East for $59 per night. The deadline for reservations is June 30.
