TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

1.            FORMAT: 54 holes of stroke play. Competition will consist of the Championship field and the Super Senior field. The Championship field will be divided into flights after the second round.

2.            TEES: Championship field will play from the BLUE TEE markers.

             Super Senior field will play from the WHITE TEE markers.

IF A SUPER SENIOR HAS ELECTED TO COMPETE IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP FIELD AND PLAYS FROM THE BLUE TEE MARKERS, HE IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE SUPER SENIOR DIVISION.

3.            GROUPINGS: Initial groupings will be for two-days; the field will be re-paired after the second round.  The third round will be two shotguns starts, the first at 8:00 and the second at 12:45. The higher flights and the Super Seniors will play in the morning shotgun.  The lower flights will play in the afternoon shotgun.

4.            COURSES SET-UP: The BLUE TEE markers will be set up approximately 6500 yards. The WHITE TEE markers will be set up approximately 6100 yards.

5.            DIRECTIONS TO THE FOREST COUNTRY CLUB: From I-75 exit at Exit 20, which is Alico Road.  Proceed West 3 miles to US Highway 41. Go right on US Highway 41 heading North ½ mile. The Forest Country Club will be on the West side of the road.

6.            ACCOMMODATIONS: Two arrangements have been made for the State Senior Championship. The first arrangement is at the Holiday Inn Select: the cost is $69.00 per night and $79.00 for upper level per night.  Call (941) 482-2900 for reservations.  Next, the Radisson Inn – Fort Myers: the cost is $69.00 per night and $79.00 for tower level per night.  Call (941) 936-4300.  Please identify yourself as an FSGA competitor at each site for reservations.

7.            REGISTRATION TABLE: There will be a registration table outside the pro shop prior to the first round. All contestants are requested to check in. You will receive a tee favor and tournament information at the registration table.

8.            PRATICE ROUND: Practice rounds are available anytime prior to the competition on a space available basis; please contact the golf shop for availability.  The cost of the practice round is $20.00 tax.  You must call in advance to arrange a practice round. Please call (941) 481-5700 to reserve a time for your practice round.  The place to practice your golf swing is on the driving range.  Hitting multiple balls on the golf course is unacceptable.

9.            ADDITIONAL SERVICES: Bag storage will be available for competitors on a first come first serve basis. The Forest Country Club will not be responsible for any lost items. Lunch will also be available at the club. 

10.         DRIVING RANGE: Range balls will be provided prior to your round on the days of the competition.

11.         PAYMENT: The Forest Country Club accepts MasterCard, Visa, or Cash as payment for all meals and other services.
