Memorandum to Contestants

On behalf of the Florida State Golf Association, congratulations on qualifying for the 58th Boys' Junior Championship. We hope that you enjoy your experience while competing in a state championship and take many favorable memories from your time in Ponte Vedra Beach.

Please carefully read through this packet of information. There are several important pieces of information, some of which require action by you, by a specific time (e.g. pre-registration, hotel reservations, practice rounds, etc.). Pre-Registration

Required by 3:30 PM, Monday July 2nd - All players who qualified for the championship must remit $120 for payment of championship fees. Championship fees include tee gifts, green fees, lunches, and range balls. Pay by credit card online through the "My Account" section on the website. Payment must be received by 3:30 PM, Monday, July 2nd, or the player will be withdrawn from the Championship. Exempt players are automatically pre-registered when they submitted their entry.

Failure to meet this deadline will result in your entry being withdrawn and filled by an alternate.

Championship Format

• 54-holes of individual stroke play within two age divisions (16-18 and 13-15 years old)
• 117 players in the 16-18 age division and 51 players in the 13-15 age division
• All players will play eighteen holes on each course (Sawgrass Country Club East/West & TPC Sawgrass Dye's Valley)
• Each division will be cut after 36-holes
• Final round will be held at Sawgrass Country Club (East/West)

36-Hole Cut

• Low 48 and ties in the 16-18 age division
• Low 21 and ties in the 13-15 age division

At Sawgrass Country Club the "East nine" will be treated as holes 1-9 and the "West nine" will be treated as holes 10-18.

Player Registration

Player registration will be open:

• Monday, July 9th (practice round): 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the clubhouse at Sawgrass Country Club
• Tuesday, July 10th: 6:45 AM to 9:30 AM at both courses

Players are strongly encouraged to register during their practice round on Monday, July 9th at Sawgrass Country Club.

Method of Payment

Sawgrass Country Club (you need cash AND a credit card)

• Credit cards must be used in the Golf Shop for purchases
• Cash is ONLY accepted for food and beverage purchases.

TPC Sawgrass

• Cash and major credit cards are accepted for all purchases

Practice Rounds

Practice rounds are available one week prior to the championship on a space available basis at each club. Practice rounds are restricted to after 12:00 PM on weekends and holidays. The cost is $30 plus tax. Call 904-273-3720 to arrange your practice round at Sawgrass Country Club and 904-273-3430 for TPC Sawgrass. Major credit cards are accepted at both clubs for purchases in the Golf Shop. Sawgrass Country Club does NOT accept cash in the Golf Shop.

Hitting multiple shots and failure to repair ballmarks and divots is unacceptable and may result in removal from the course without a refund.

A guest is allowed to play with a player during his practice round at Sawgrass Country Club for $89 plus tax, and at TPC Sawgrass for $130 plus tax.

Practice Facilities

The practice facilities at each club will be available to players, at no cost, before and after each tournament round. The practice ranges will open each morning at approximately 6:45 AM and close at approximately 6:00 PM each evening.

Food and Beverage

Personal coolers and products purchased outside are not allowed on property.

During Practice Rounds

Normal food and beverages are available at each club. Sawgrass Country Club does NOT serve breakfast.

During Tournament Rounds

Breakfast is available at TPC Sawgrass starting at 6:30 AM each morning. Breakfast is not available at Sawgrass Country Club.

Lunch buffets are FREE to all players after each tournament round. The buffets are available at each club from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The cost of the buffet is $15 for parents and guests.

Bottled water, snacks, and fruit will be available on the starting tees for players during all tournament rounds.

Payment - Sawgrass Country Club only accepts cash for F&B purchases. TPC Sawgrass accepts major credit cards and cash.

Pull Carts

Pull carts are allowed at Sawgrass Country Club and TPC Sawgrass. During tournament rounds players must walk and carry their bag or use a pull cart.

Caddies

Caddies are not allowed during tournament rounds.

GPS and Range Finders

During tournament rounds, the use of electronic measuring devices is NOT ALLOWED. The penalty for breach of this Rule is disqualification.

Spectator Carts

Spectators may rent a cart during each tournament round for $24 plus tax at Sawgrass Country Club and $25 plus tax at TPC Sawgrass. Carts may be limited and they are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Spectators must follow the FSGA's Specator Cart Policy which will be handed out .

Sawgrass Country Club and TPC Sawgrass

The membership and management at Sawgrass Country Club and TPC Sawgrass congratulate you on qualifying for the 58th Boys Junior Championship and look forward to welcoming you to their club. To ensure a good experience at the Championship please comply with the following club polices:

• Cell phone use is strictly prohibited inside each clubhouse. Cell phones are only allowed in the parking lots. Use discretion! Tournament Officials are exempt for this policy.
• All players, parents, guests, etc. must wear golf attire while on each club's property (NO t-shirts, denim, cargo shorts, flip-flops, athletic shorts, short shorts, etc.)
• All males are prohibited from wearing hats while inside each clubhouse
• All males must have their shirts tucked in and their hats worn properly (forward)
