TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

1. FORMAT: All players traveling to University Park Country Club are guaranteed an 18 hole-seeding round and at least one round of match play.  After the 18 hole seeding round, the field of 96 will be divided into a Championship flight of 32 players and four additional flights of 16. Ultimately there will be a Match Play Champion from the Championship Flight and four additional flight champions.

2. WHITHDRAWALS:  Anyone “No Showing” for a match will be required to submit a $150.00 donation to the FSGA Furture of Golf Foundation prior to being allowed entry into any future FSGA events. 

3. GOLF CARTS: Carts are included for all competitive rounds.  Players are responsible for practice round cart fees.

4. SPECTATORS AND CADDIES:  All spectators and caddies must walk.

5. ACCOMMODATIONS: Arrangements have been made at the Holiday Inn at Lakewood Ranch.  The cost of a standard king is $94.00 per night and a standard double is $84.00 per night.  Call (941) 782-4400. Please identify yourself as a FSGA competitor at each hotel.  

6. REGISTRATION: A registration table will be set up outside the pro shop prior to the seeding round.  All contestants are requested to check in. 

7. PRACTICE ROUNDS: Practice times are available one week prior to the Championship space available; Saturday and Sunday after 12:00 PM.    The price of your practice round is $25.00 plus tax including range balls.  Call (941) 359-9999 to arrange your times. Remember, you are a guest at University Park Country Club and gentlemanly behavior and proper dress is expected at all times.  The proper place to practice your swing is on the driving range. Hitting multiple shots on the course is unacceptable.

8.      FORMS OF PAYMENT:  The University Park Country Club will accept cash, Master Card and Visa.

9.      DIRECTIONS TO UNVERSITY PARK COUNTRY CLUB: from I-75 take the University Parkway exit, Exit 213 (old exit 40). Go west towards Sarasota. Merge onto University Pkwy. Travel 1.8 miles and turn RIGHT into the University Park Country Club Entrance.

From Sarasota/Bradenton area take U.S. 41 or 301 to University Pkwy. Travel east approximately 4 miles past US 301. Turn LEFT into the University Park Country Club Entrance. 

10.  EXEMPTIONS:  The following players are exempt into the Championship Flight:  Dave Roschman, Michael Nealy, Brett Burton, Tommy Murray, and Steve Carter.
