5. Last three years' Amateur Match Play Champions (defending Champion is #1 seed)
6. Last three years' Amateur Champions
7. Current and last years' Boy's Junior Champions (16-18 Division)
8. Last year's Florida Open Low Amateur
9. Last year's Junior Amateur Match Play Champion
10. Current and last two years' Mid-Amateur Champions
11. Last year's Mid-Amateur Stroke Play Champion
12. Current year's Amateur Public Links Champion
13. Current year's Forty & Over Champion
14. Previous year's Forty & Over Champion (2021 only)
15. Last year's semifinalists
16. Current year's top five and tied - Amateur Championship
17. Current year's Mid-Amateur Championship semifinalists
18. Special Exemptions by FSGA Championship Committee

• Categories with multiple players will be seeded by order they won the Championship or finish in event
  • 2018 Match Play Champion takes higher seed than 2016 Champion
  • 2nd in Amateur Championship takes higher seed than t4th
  • Semifinalists will be seeded by lot
• Players who are in multiple categories will assume the seed that is highest

Qualified Players

• Players who advance through one of the six local qualifying sites will be seeded by the ranking of the qualifying site and their score at the site
• The 6 medalists will be the highest six seeds following the exempt players
• Ties will be broken by lot

Withdraws

• Once the seeds are set after the pre-registration deadline, any alternates will assume the seed of the player they are replacing
  

Group Play

• The Championship will consist of 16 groups of 4 players per group
• Groups will be seeded up and down - see below

• All players in the group will play a match versus each other player in their group in rounds one through three of the Championship
  • The winner of each match will receive one (1) point
  • Tied matches result in each player receiving a (0.5) half point
• The player with the most points after three rounds will advance to the round of 16 from the group
  • In the event of a tie in the group after three rounds, the tied players will have a sudden death stroke play play-off to see who will advance

• additionally, players who withdraw without completing all three matches and without a valid reason will be subject to a $100 fine payable to the Future of Golf Foundation before their entry will be accepted to any future FSGA Championships
  

Bracket Play

The 16 group winners will be seeded into a traditional 16 player bracket based on the group # they won, not based on their original seeds, example below.
