The Mid-Amateur Four-Ball is a perfect opportunity for a golfing getaway to the Naples area, where you will be challenged by West Bay Beach & Golf Club. Championship Format
- 36 holes of gross four-ball stroke play (no handicaps)
What is a Four-Ball? - A four-ball is a two person team where the
low score of the two players on each hole is counted. It is commonly
referred to as a best ball.
- 48 teams; 96 players
- The lowest team score for 36 holes will be the Champion
Eligibility
- Male amateurs must be age 25 or older as of June 4, 2016
- Both entrants must be members of the FSGA
Entry Fee
- $320 per team GHIN or Foundation Members
- $340 per team Non-GHIN
Late entries will be accepted subject to a $10 late entry fee should the entrant gain acceptance into the field.
Entry Priority
Entries will be accepted based upon the order of receipt. Entries received after the competitive field is full or after the close of
entries, will be placed on an alternates list. Alternates will be contacted in the order of receipt of entry, if and when, a spot becomes available.
Course Set-Up
The golf course will be set-up at approximately 6,800 yards.

Saturday, June 4th
- 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM - Round One tee times off of #1 and #10
Sunday, June 5th
- 8:00 AM - Round Two tee times off of #1 and #10
- Awards ceremony immediately following the completion of play
Flighting
After 18 holes, the number of flights will be based on the number of teams and the range of scores.
Practice Rounds
Practice rounds are available one week prior to the event. The price for a practice round is $35.00 + tax per player. Please call (239) 948-3482 to arrange your practice round. The proper place to practice your golf swing is on the driving range, hitting multiple shots on the course is unacceptable.
Carts
Carts are included for all competitive rounds. Players are responsible for practice round fees.
Defending Champions
Stephen Anderson and R J Naskashian were crowned the 2015 Mid-Amateur Four-Ball Champions at Ocean Reef Club's beautiful Dolphin Course. The two were powered by an outstanding 60 in the opening round and finished with a 65 for a total of 125 to best the field by three shots.

Anderson, of Hobe Sound, and R J Nakashian, of Palm Beach, held the lead after the first round due to an impressive nine birdies and one eagle on the card. The team shot an eight under-par 64 to lead by two strokes over the duo from Estero, Kevin Henry and Ryan McLain. Henry had an exceptional round one making six birdies and an eagle on the par five number 11 on his own ball. Sunday’s round made for an exciting finish. The team of Marc France, of Plantation, and Carl Santos-Ocampo, of Naples, made a run for the lead after a first round 70 by posting a second round 11 under-par, 61! Anderson and Nakashian entered the last hole tied with France/Santos-Ocampo and were fighting to defend their title. A birdie on the last hole propelled the defending Champions into first place for their second consecutive victory. Anderson and Nakashian finished with a 66 for a tournament total 130 (-14), one stroke ahead of Santos-Ocampo and France. Daniel Eggertsson and Ben Adelberg teamed up to tie Donald Wolfe and Matthew Marion for third place with a tournament total 136 (-8). Kevin Henry and Ryan McLain struggled in round two and fell to tied for sixth place (140 tournament total) with Rob Thorngate/Steven Marcozzi, one stroke behind Devin Hernandez and teammate Justin Foster in fifth place.
