Weather

  • Saturday - Temperatures in the upper 40s, but heavy winds.
  • Sunday - Frost delay in the morning. Temperatures never eclipsed the mid 40s.

Boys' Division 

Jason Duff, of Elkton, prevailed and overcame a two-stroke deficit to earn his first FJT victory! With hometown advantage, Jake Davis led after round one with a one over-par, 71. Duff was tied for second with Gray Albright, Cole Darbyshire, and Will Davis, after opening rounds of three over-par, 73. After a second round even par 70, Duff moved into first place with a 143 total. Davis fell to third place with a round two, 6-over par, 76, and a tournament total 147. After a first round 75, a one over-par second round advanced Tianyu Wu, of Howey-in-the-Hills, to second place with a 146 total. The low tournament round and only under par score came from Thomas Salanito, of Palm Harbor, who carded a second round 69, 11 strokes better than his first round. Duff earned his first win on the Junior Tour by three strokes!

Girls' Division

Izzy Pellot, of Apopka, hoisted her second FJT trophy with a wire-to-wire win! At the age of 12 years old, Pellot posted rounds of 76-74 to win by two strokes with a 150 total. Chei Kim started the final round tied for second with Wyndom Burnett, both shooting 78 on Saturday. Orlando resident, Kim, held onto second place after scoring a 74 on Sunday for a 152 total. Rounding out the top three was Tianyi Zhuang, of Windermere, who carded rounds of 80-78—158. The shot of the day was awarded to Lillian Berry who had a hole-in-one of the 11th hole! Two wins on the Florida Junior Tour will help Pellot prepare for the 2017 U.S. Women's Four-Ball Championship that she recently qualified for in November!

Home of the Gators, Mark Bostick Golf Course will kick off our 2017 Florida Junior Tour schedule. Located on the northwest corner of the University of Florida campus, Mark Bostick GC has had many of the worlds best golfers walk it's grounds. Champions like Mark Calcavecchia, Andy North, Gary Koch, Chris DiMarco, Billy Horschel, Brian Gay, Matt Every, and Camilo Villegas have all left their imprint on this golf course. Take the weekend to visit the campus and compete at the home course of the University of Florida.

Format  

  • 36 holes of individual stroke play
  • 84 total players
  • 13-15 age division (age calculated by the last day of the tournament)

Divisions and Approximate Yardages

  • Boys 13-15 Age Division - 6,600 yards (gross only)
  • Girls 13-15 Age Division - 5,700 yards (gross only)

How Entries are Accepted

  • Players with an unused FJT exemption will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis (if submitted before the entry deadline).
  • Players without an FJT exemption - all other entries are held until the entry closing date.  Shortly after the closing date, a computer-generated random draw is performed to determine which entries are accepted, and the order of the alternates. All players are notified of their status after the random draw is conducted,
  • An alternates list will be posted to the FJT website under "Tee Times & Player Information".
  • Entries submitted after the entry deadline will be added to the bottom of the alternates list or used to fill any openings in the field.

How to Enter

Entries must be submitted through the FSGA website. To enter, each player must have an account on this website (free to setup), and a current FJT Junior Membership ($40). Click "Enter" above in the Tournament Links box.

Entry Fee

The entry fee of $95 (for GHIN handicap members) or $115 (non-GHIN handicap members) includes tournament rounds, range balls prior to tournament rounds, crystal trophies for the top three finishers, and a tee gift. 

To receive the GHIN handicap price, the player, or one of the player's parents must have an active GHIN handicap at a club in Florida. The seven digit GHIN number must be included and active when the entry is submitted. Click on the Handicaps tab above in the main menu for more information.

Late Fee:  A late fee of $10 will be applied to entries received after the entry deadline. The entry fee and late fee will only be charged if the player gets accepted into the tournament field.

Saturday, January 7th 

9:30 AM - 12:00 PM - Tournament Registration (near pro shop)
10:30 AM - 12:27 PM - Round one tee times off the 1st and 10th tees

Sunday, January 17th

8:00 AM - 9:57 AM - Final round tee times off the 1st and 10th tees
Approximately 2:30 PM - Awards presentation

Practice Rounds

Practice rounds are available one week prior to the tournament on a space-available basis. Times times are only available after 12:00 noon the weekend prior.  The price for a practice round is $25.00 + tax. Please call 352-375-4866 to arrange your practice round. The proper place to practice your golf swing is on the driving range, hitting multiple shots on the course, not filling divots, and not repairing ball marks are unacceptable and may cause removal from the tournament without a refund.

Players are not allowed to drive golf carts (must be 18 years old to drive a cart).
