Erin O’Neil joined the FSGA in June 2021, after spending the last 17 years as the Head Women's Golf Coach at the University of Kansas. She grew up in Wesley Chapel and started playing golf at the age of eight, after spending her early years following her two older brothers around numerous golf courses.
Erin was a four-year letter winner at the University of Georgia from 1994-97 and led the Bulldogs to a pair of SEC Championships in 1994 and 1997. She was a three-time All-SEC selection from 1994-96 and earned SEC Freshman of the Year honors in 1994. As an amateur, she qualified for seven U.S. Women's Amateur Championships, as well as two U.S. Women's Open Championships in 1994 and 1995. After graduating with a degree in Education, she played professionally on the Futures Tour (Symetra) from 1997-1999, as well as competed in multiple LPGA Qualifying School Tournaments.
Following her time as a professional golfer, Erin started her coaching journey as an Assistant Women’s Golf Coach at Auburn University from 2000-04, before taking the reins as the Head Women’s Golf Coach at the University of Kansas for the last seventeen years. In her free time, Erin enjoys spending time with family & friends, going to the beach, volunteering for the American Brittany Rescue, working out at Orangetheory Fitness, and watching college athletics.
