The first day consists of four-ball match play, the second day is a ""Chapman's" foursome match play, and singles matches are played on the third day. One point is awarded for a match won, while a tie earns 1/2point to each side. Each day's matches are determined the night before in a blind draw among the states and teams. Eight players from each team compete in a round from the Team Captain's selection.
The FSGA selects eight players to represent Florida in the annual SWATCA competition. Each team’s selections includes:
(3) Women Amateur players with the highest point totals from the 2012 Women's Player of the Year Points List as of September 24, 2012
(5) Women Amateur players selected by the FSGA Championship Committee
(1) Alternate Women's player selected by the Committee
Any designated selections which are not filled due to ineligibility or other reason will be selected by the FSGA Championships Committee. Players will be chosen and invited by the Championship Committee with selection criteria to include, but not be limited to, the FSGA Player of the Year points list standings as of August 6th, 2012 after the FSGA Women’s Four-Ball Stroke Play Championship.
South Carolina won with 12.5 points. Florida finished with a close second having 11 points
