Dai & McGrath Battle the Heat to Victory
LADY LAKE, Fla. - The Florida Junior Tour visited Harbor Hills Country Club for the last FJT Open this season. 78 Players were met with undulating conditions and Florida's heat with ambitions of being the Victor come Sunday. In the end, it was Andy Dai and Chloe McGrath that would rise above the rest.
Boys (13-15)
In Round 1, it was Andy Dai who separated himself from the field to hold the lead with a score of 4-under 68. Andy Dai, a 2027 graduate from Bradenton FL, completed his round carding 4 birdies and an eagle. Paired with back-to-back bogeys on holes 1 & 2, Andy finished round 1 with a 3 shot lead. Trailing were two players sitting at 1-under looking to gain on Dai’s top round heading into Sunday. Dane Mohap, a 2028 graduate also out of Bradenton, Fl began his round with an even par front nine. Things turned around on the back, recovering from a bogey on 5 with an eagle on six. After a bogey on the back, Mohap carded a 1-under 71 heading into Sunday. Joining Mohap was 2028 graduate Nicholas Johnson out of Bella Collina, Fl. After birding the first hole of the day, Johnson moved up the leader board as he carded a 2-under front nine with 3 birdies and a bogey. Johnson would go on to score three bogeys and two birdies on the back nine to post a 1-under 71 joining Dane Mohap in second place.
On Sunday, it was Andy Dai who stole the show leaving the rest of the field behind him. Dai would begin his final round birdieing the 1st and 2nd to card an impressive 3-under front nine. Through 10 holes, Dai’s lead improved as he gained a 6-stroke lead on the field. Dai would then birdie the 12th, clearing the remainder of the field by 8 shots. This would be Dai’s second FJT win of 2025 and second consecutive win in regards to ages 13-15 on the Florida Junior Tour! Behind Dai, would be a tie for second place between players Tom Kennedy and Ignacio Hurtado with a scores of even-par 72. Kennedy, the 2029 graduate out of Tequesta, Fl would bounce back from a 3-over front nine with back-to-back birdies on holes 10 and 11 and an additional birdie on hole 14 to finish the tournament at even par. Hurtado, a 2029 graduate out of Weston, Fl began his round with birdies on the 1st and 3rd hole. Bogeying holes four and five, Ignacio answered with a birdie on 6 to card a 1-under front nine. On the back, Ignacio kept pace until a bogey on hole 15 would place him in a tie for second place finishing with rounds of 72, 72 to finish at 144 even total.
Girls (13-15)
On Saturday, it was Chloe McGrath who separated herself from the field to hold the lead heading into the final round. Chloe McGrath, a 2027 graduate from Jacksonville, quickly jumped ahead birding her first and ninth holes of the day. McGrath would hold steady on the back to post a 1-under 71 taking first place heading into Sunday’s final round. Not far behind was 2030 graduate Nirvika Koduru out of Boca Raton, Fl. Koduru battled through an up and down day as she would go to card 3 bogeys and 3 birdies to post an even score of 72. Sofia Macapagel and Xiyao Zhang were not far behind, posting scores of 1-over 73, setting up a close one for Sunday’s final round.
Through nine holes on Sunday’s final round, it was Chloe McGrath leading the field by one with a score of even par heading into the back nine. Behind Chloe were several players competing for Sunday’s trophy. Jumping up 3 spots were 2029 graduates Danica Becker and Victoria Feng. Feng, a 2029 graduate out of Windermere found herself atop the leaderboard through 11 holes sitting at 1-over par tied with McGrath. After a bogey on Feng’s 14th hole of the day, Chloe regained the lead at 1-over par with multiple players one behind. One player was Xiyao Zhang, a 2029 graduate out of Winter Garden, Fl. Zhang battled through her round as she would go on to card a birdie on hole 5 finishing at 3-over 73, and 4-over total in the tournament, placing her in solo 3rd place. Ahead of her was Victoria Feng carding a 1-over 73 while she waited for Chloe to finish in the group behind. Chloe McGrath would go on to make a tough birdie putt to earn her first FJT victory of 2025! Feng would finish in solo second place with a total of 3-over 146.

- Boys (13-15) - 6,700 yards (gross only)
- Girls (13-15) - 5,700 yards (gross only)
How Entries are Accepted
- Players with an unused FJT exemption will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis (if submitted before the entry deadline).
- Players without an FJT exemption - all other entries are held until the entry closing date. Shortly after the closing date, a computer-generated random draw is performed to determine which entries are accepted, and the order of the alternates. All players are notified of their status after the random draw is conducted.
- An alternates list will be posted to the FSGA website under "Tee Times & Player Information".
- Entries submitted after the entry deadline will be added to the bottom of the alternates list or used to fill any openings in the field.

To enter, each player must create an FSGA account on this website (free to set-up), purchase a current Junior Membership ($45), and have an active Florida GHIN Handicap (included in membership if golfer does not already have one)

Late Entry Fee: A late fee of $10 will be applied to entries submitted after the close of entries date. The entry fee and late fee will only be applied if the player gets accepted in to the tournament field.
