FJT Sandridge (13-18) *Exempt-Only*

Sandridge Golf Course - Dunes Course, Vero Beach, FL

March 9-10, 2024

Lebrun and Huber Repeat at Sandridge

VERO BEACH, Fla. - The Dunes course at Sandridge Golf Club proved to be a tough test of ball-striking during Saturday's first round of the FJT Sandridge (13-18) *Exempt-Only* event with winds gusting up to 25 mph. Emile Lebrun would go on to win in wire-to-wire fashion on Sunday as Katelyn Huber would shoot a final round 8-under par, 64 to claim the title. Both players successfully defended their titles from 2023.

Boys (13-18)

It was a tale of two golf courses during the first and second rounds as gusting winds made conditions tough on Saturday. With a light rain shower to start Sunday's final round and subsided winds, scoring conditions became ideal. Having returned to Sandridge Golf Club after his victory in 2023, Emile Lebrun would look to put two stellar rounds together to retain his title. The 2025 grad would do so successfully with rounds of 71-69 (-4). Lebrun would go on to win comfortably in wire-to-wire fashion, giving him his second win in two events. The Port Saint Lucie resident would play consistent golf on the weekend, making seven birdies, off-set by only three bogies.

Wylie Inman would notch a runner-up finish after carding rounds of 76-68 and finishing the event at even par. Inman would fire the low round of the day in the boys' division at 4-under par. Rounding out the podium was William Lisle with rounds of 72-73, 1-over par.

Girls (13-18)

After an opening round of 2-over par, 74 in tough conditions, Katelyn Huber knew that she would have some work to do to catch the leaders two shots ahead. Huber would waste no time in pulling ahead of the field after playing her first six holes in the final round 5-under par. The Gainesville native would go on to make four more birdies and a lone bogey to fire the low round of the event at 8-under par, 64. This round being Huber's low career tournament round would also put her into the FJT record books again, tying her for the second lowest final round. After winning the event in 2023 as well, the recent University of Florida commit, would successfully defend her title in 2024.

Tying for second place was Ashley Balcom and Ariana Silva, with identical rounds of 73-73 to finish the event at 2-over par. Balcom and Silva would both earn their first top-3 finishes in 2024. Silva's final round was highlighted by an eagle 3 on the par 5, 4th hole.
