FJT Indian Spring Open (16-18)


BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. -  Frank Kennedy and Jordan Fischer were victorious on Sunday at Indian Spring Country Club. It was Kennedy's first FJT win, while Fischer brought home her fifth-career FJT victory. Robert Htlatki and Jake Manelas were the respective second and third-place finishers in the Boys (16-18) division, while Ryleigh Knaub took second, and Kayla Bryant and Amelie Alcantara tied for third in the Girls (16-18) division.

Boys (16-18)

Kennedy, of Jupiter, got out to a red hot start Saturday, birdieing his first four holes. He kept it going, finishing his opening nine with a 7-under par 29. He finished the day at 65 (-7), and followed that with a Sunday 65 (-5) to finish the tournament at 12-under par. Kennedy made just one bogey all weekend, winning by 11 shots.

Htlatki, a Boca Raton native, shot an impressive 67 (-5) on Saturday, and followed that with a 4-over 76 on Sunday to secure second-place. Manelas, of Fort Lauderdale, shot 73-71 to finish in third-place at even-par.

Girls (16-18) 

Fischer, a North Fort Myers resident, went into Sunday tied for the lead at 1 under, with eight other players within three shots of the lead. She birdied seven holes on Sunday, finishing with a 5-under 67, (-6) for the tournament. Fischer separated herself from the rest of the field, ultimately winning by three strokes.

Knaub, of Debary, shot 73-68 to come in second-place at (-3) for the tournament. Bryant, of Boca Raton, went 72-72 to finish in third-place at even-par, while Alcantara, another Boca Raton native, matched her with a 73-71 on the weekend.

  • Boys (16-18) Age Division - 6,900 yards 
  • Girls (16-18) Age Division - 5,900 yards 

How Entries are Accepted

 

 

 

 

  • Players with an unused FJT exemption will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis (if submitted before the entry deadline).
  • Players without an FJT exemption - all other entries are held until the entry closing date.  Shortly after the closing date, a computer-generated random draw is performed to determine which entries are accepted, and the order of the alternates. All players are notified of their status after the random draw is conducted,
  • An alternates list will be posted to the FSGA website under "Tee Times & Player Information".
  • Entries submitted after the entry deadline will be added to the bottom of the alternates list or used to fill any openings in the field.

Sunday, December 5th

7:45 AM - 9:42 AM - Round two tee times off of the 1st and 10th tees
Awards presentation immediately following the completion of play

How to Enter

Entries are submitted through the FSGA website. To enter, each player must create an FSGA account on this website (free to set-up), purchase a current Junior Membership ($40), and have an active Florida GHIN Handicap (included in membership if golfer does not already have one). To proceed, click the "Enter" button above once entries have opened.

Late Entry Fee: A late fee of $10 will be applied to entries submitted after the close of entries date. The entry fee and late fee will only be applied if the player gets accepted in to the tournament field.

 

 

 

 

Practice Rounds

Practice rounds are available one week prior to the tournament on a space-available basis. Tee times are only available after 12:00 noon the weekend prior.  The price for a practice round is $35.00 +tax. Please call (561) 737-5510 to arrange your practice round. The proper place to practice your golf swing is on the driving range, hitting multiple shots on the course, not filling divots, and not repairing ball marks are unacceptable and may cause removal from the tournament without a refund.
