FJT Ocala Open (13-15) *Fall*

OCALA, Fla. – Emmet Kuhlenkamp and Charlotte Cantonis posted red numbers on Sunday to take home home the Florida Junior Tour wins at Ocala Golf Club. Kuhlenkamp took home the win in the Boys’ division with a 7-under 137 for the weekend, while Cantonis got the win in the Girls’ division with a 2-under 142. 

Boys (13-15)

Kuhlenkamp went wire-to-wire at Ocala Golf Club to earn his first FJT victory. He got the tournament started with a first-round 69. After playing the first four holes at 2 over, Kuhlenkamp played the rest of the first round bogey free with five birdies to take a one-shot lead into Sunday.

The Fleming Island native got the final round off to a strong start with a 1-under front side. He kept it rolling on the back nine with back-to-back birdies on the 10th and 11th. He earned the two-shot victory with a final-round 68.

Henry Burbee finished runner-up at 5-under 139 with rounds of 70-69, while Ronav Benak and Luke Balaskiewicz tied for third at 3-under 141.

Girls (13-15)

In her first FJT tournament, Cantonis fired a final-round 69 to capture the victory. She got the weekend started with a 1-over 73 to sit one shot back of the leader.

The Tampa native began the final round with an even-par first nine. She got it rolling on her final nine, finishing bogey-free with three birdies. Cantonis secured the win with a final-round 69 to finish two shot ahead of the field.

Alejandra Botaya used rounds of 74-70 to finish runner-up at even-par 144, while Sophia Dyer took third at 1-over 145.

How Entries are Accepted

• Players with an unused FJT exemption will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis (if submitted before the entry deadline).
• Players without an FJT exemption - all other entries are held until the entry closing date. Shortly after the closing date, a computer-generated random draw is performed to determine which entries are accepted, and the order of the alternates. All players are notified of their status after the random draw is conducted,
• An alternates list will be posted to the FSGA website under "Tee Times & Player Information".
• Entries submitted after the entry deadline will be added to the bottom of the alternates list or used to fill any openings in the field.

Schedule of Events

Saturday, October 8th

11:00 AM - 1:30 PM - Tournament Registration (near pro shop)

12:00 PM - 1:57 PM - Round one tee times off the 1st and 10th tees

Sunday, October 9th

8:00 AM - 9:57 AM - Final round tee times off the 1st and 10th tees
Awards presentation immediately following the completion of play.  

How to Enter

Entries are submitted through the FSGA website. To enter, each player must create an FSGA account on this website (free to set-up), purchase a current Junior Membership ($40), and have an active Florida GHIN Handicap (included in membership if golfer does not already have one). To proceed, click the "Enter" button above once entries have opened.

Late Entry Fee: A late fee of $10 will be applied to entries submitted after the close of entries date. The entry fee and late fee will only be applied if the player gets accepted in to the tournament field.

Practice Rounds

Practice rounds are available one week prior to the tournament on a space-available basis. Tee times are only available after 12:00 noon the weekend prior.  The price for a practice round is $25.00 + tax. Please call (352) 401-6917 to arrange your practice round. The proper place to practice your golf swing is on the driving range, hitting multiple shots on the course, not filling divots, and not repairing ball marks are unacceptable and may cause removal from the tournament without a refund.

TrackMan Sessions

We are pleased to offer tournament participants the opportunity to utilize our TrackMan launch moniter, and to have his/her swing recorded on Friday, October 7th. Specifics will be included in the pre-event email. There is no charge for this service.  All information will be posted to the junior's FSGA profile for college coaches to view.  Click here for more information.
