BOCA RATON, Fla. – Andres Barraza wins his second FJT of the year while Brooke Oberparleiter claimed a victory at her first FJT event at Osprey Point Golf Course.

Boys 16-18

Red numbers highlighted the top three on the leaderboard after round one. Gabriel Hegerstrom, of Parkland, carded three birdies on the back-nine to finish three under-par and take the lead by one stroke. Hegerstrom is looking for his second FJT victory, after winning his first FJT event in 2018. Tyler Donnellan, of Vero Beach, and Andres Barraza, of Parkland, tied for second at two under-par 70. 

Andres Barraza played consistent golf in round two and climbed up to first place to secure his second FJT win of this year. Turning at two under-par, Barraza finished the day with a second score of 70 to capture first place by two-strokes at four-under 140 and earn back-to-back FJT wins. Donnellan finished round two at even-par to tie James Hassell and Justin Ross for second place at two under-par 142. Vero Beach resident, Hassell, posted a front-nine score of 33 to finish with a 70 to tie for second. Ross, of Boca Raton, played impressive golf in round two, carding three birdies to finish with a 3-under 69. The tournament low round of 68 came from Alex Heard, of Boca Raton, who finished in fifth place. 

Girls 16-18

Brooke Oberparleiter captured a wire-to-wire victory in her first FJT event played. In round one, the Jupiter resident posted an eagle on the par-5 third hole to take the lead by one stroke with a 74. Sabree Lefebvre and Kyrsten Shawah tied for second place at three over-par 75 while Nicole Yugay, who posted an eagle on the par-5 10th hole, finished two strokes back in fourth place.

Oberparleiter did not lose sight of the lead with a steady second round of 75 to win her first FJT event at 5-over 149. Delray Beach native, Yugay, moved into second place with a round two 75. Tied with Yugay, in second place, finished Sabrina Dami Kim, of Palm City, who posted a final round 74 to finish at 7-over 151.

  • Girls 16-18 Age Division - 6,000 yards (gross only)

How Entries are Accepted

  • Players with an unused FJT exemption will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis (if submitted before the entry deadline).
  • Players without an FJT exemption - all other entries are held until the entry closing date.  Shortly after the closing date, a computer-generated random draw is performed to determine which entries are accepted, and the order of the alternates. All players are notified of their status after the random draw is conducted,
  • An alternates list will be posted to the FSGA website under "Tee Times & Player Information".
  • Entries submitted after the entry deadline will be added to the bottom of the alternates list or used to fill any openings in the field.

How to Enter

Entries are submitted through the FSGA website. To enter, each player must create an FSGA account on this website (free to set-up), purchase a current Junior Membership ($40), and have an active Florida GHIN Handicap (included in membership if golfer does not already have one). To proceed, click the "Enter" button above once entries have opened.

Late Entry Fee: A late fee of $10 will be applied to entries submitted after the close of entries date. The entry fee and late fee will only be applied if the player gets accepted in to the tournament field.


Practice Rounds

Practice rounds are available one week prior to the tournament on a space-available basis. Tee times are only available after 12:00 noon the weekend prior.  The price for a practice round is $30. Please call (561) 482-2868 to arrange your practice round. The proper place to practice your golf swing is on the driving range, hitting multiple shots on the course, not filling divots, and not repairing ball marks are unacceptable and may cause removal from the tournament without a refund.
