FJT University of Florida (13-15) *54-Hole Major*

Mark Bostick Golf Course at the University of Florida - Gainesville
January 18-20, 2020

GAINESVILLE, Fla.Battling the cold weather in the final round, Erik Plenge and Jordan Fischer came out on top at Mark Bostick Golf Course on Monday. This was the first Florida Junior Tour win for both Plenge and Fischer.

Boys 13-15 Division

Plenge captured the win with a 6-over 216 for the three-day tournament. He began the day in a tie for third place with Sam Davis and Diego Passos at 4-over 143, one shot behind the second-round leaders.

In the final round, the 2022 graduate closed out the front nine by birding two of the four final holes. He sat in a tie for first place at 6-over with Sam Davis heading to the back nine. A birdie on the 17th hole gave Plenge the outright lead. The Peru native pared the final hole to secure his first FJT win.

He posted a 2-over 72 in Monday’s final round to earn the win, the low round of the day.

Davis and Sebastian Kawas finished in a tie for second place at 9-over 219. Davis posted one of only two even-par or better rounds, an even-par 70 in the second round. Justin Burroughs, Andres Atrio and Frank Kennedy finished in a tie for fourth at 10-over 220.

Girls 13-15 Division

Fischer secured her first FJT win with a five-stroke victory in the Girls’ Division, finishing the weekend with a 7-over 217. She held a three-stroke lead over the field after the second round, posting an even-par 70 on Saturday, the only even-par or better round for the tournament.

In the final round, the Cape Coral native posted a 1-over on her first nine, birding two of the three last holes. Fishcer finished the day with a 2-over on her second nine. She carded a 1-over 73 in the final round, the low round of the day, to capture the win.

Sabree Lefebvre took home a second-place finish at 13-over 223, while Katelyn Huber finished third with a 16-over 226.
